Abstract: Shepherd University has recently opened a new 298 bed residence hall with extensive study and meeting spaces, a classroom, and dining facility. This program will show you how Shepherd University leveraged a public-private partnership and was able to get from concept to completion in just two years with a 15 month construction window. Included in our presentations are unique ways public-private partnerships can help you navigate through so many construction challenges including taxes, ratings agencies, creative financing, debt ceilings, as well as aiding in designing the best space for your students.
